The Bible is quite clear that we are to keep the Sabbath. In our culture that's just not convenient. We have far more important things to do than obey God's word - especially if it interferes with our plans. Does anyone out there keep the Sabbath or even preach about it?
I am trying to make Saturday's my Sabbth Day with resting from all work as much as possible and spending as much time as I can with my girls.
I have been trying to implement a Sabbath by not answering every text message or e-mail that comes through. I have even tried to have days when I dont check any e-mail at all and the most difficult thing about taking a Sabbath is everybody wants answers to their questions immediately. If you text me or e-mail me on Saturday it may take longer for a response.
I think that everyone should have a full day's rest each week. This is not just a good idea, it was mandated by the Lord. If God took a day to rest then we definitely should.
