There has been such an interest in this past Sunday's sermon that I thought of offering a short term 3-5 week discussion group where I would pass on some teaching about home budgeting and have couples discuss ways to make ends meet in this economy. Is there any interest?
My undergrad degree was in Business Administration with a minor interest in Finance. I will not give investing tips but rather practical thoughts about making ends meet in this economy. This would be good for couples facing marriage, young marrieds, middle aged persons/couples and in short - everyone. We will actually work on a budget together and individually and talk about ways to prioritize your spending.
Anyone interested?
My wife and I have spent most of our married life as a single income family because we decided one needed to be home for the children while they were young. This was a spiritual and practical decision. We can talk about how to make this work.
We now have two incomes, a pastor and a social worker, but they are not large incomes by the norm of society. Yet God has given us all our needs and most of our wants. I believe we can help others if anyone is interested.
