A number of us have been speaking about starting a third worship service. I have been praying about it for over two years now.
I'm hoping that this will be another weekly worship service. It is not meant to be an additional service for people to attend, although we can never get enough of worship.
Our primary target audience would be those who cannot attend on Sunday mornings because of a variety of reasons. We have heard from folks who work every or every other Sunday morning and they need a time and place to worship. There are also folks who normally attend worship on Sunday mornings but a few times a year they miss worship all together because of some event that draws them away on Sundays.
An additional audience might be some local pastors and worship leaders who are looking for a place to be in worship rather than leading worship. There is a difference.
Any thoughts about this service? Anything to help us develop the plan for this service?
I have a worship leader praying about serving in this service but would need some additional volunteers to help with the praise team, prayer team, and servers! Let me know.

I love the idea and have been praying for it. I would love to see an "Up Close and Personal" type of service. With maybe just a small Praise and Worship Team and the message. Short and sweet. A chance for those of us who would love to attend every Sunday but sometimes have commitments. I would also like offer to help at the service how every possible.

I have been waiting for this to happen. It will make it much easier for my family to be faithful in worship.
Please start this soon. I want to come to church more often but can not make Sundays very often. This would be an answer to prayer.
What style of worship would we use?

If the service were on Sunday nights instead of Saturday nights - would that help/hurt anyone's plans to attend? I was told, especially in the summer, that a Sunday night would be great for those who go away for the weekend. It would still help those who work on Sunday mornings and might be good for families who bring children to church for youth group.
Thoughts?
I like the idea of Sunday night because those who go away on the weekend can still fellowship/worship. I would like to see this a more relaxed service - kind of a "house church" setting where the sermon provides time for discussion too. Music is optional in my opinion.
I like the idea of a Sunday morning service on Sunday night. It would help when my family is away for the weekend. It will help when I have to work on Sunday mornings.
