What do you think about the idea of starting a third worship service on Sunday mornings?
One idea is to offer a service that would run from 8:30-10 am in the fellowship hall. This service would be a softer version of the 10:30 service. It would overlap the 8:45-10 am service in the Sanctuary. We would need to work out the preaching and the volunteers.
Your thoughts and ideas?

What would the structed be like?
I see the benefits though, I think there's a liking to more modern music vs Hymn based @ 8:30, I know that is one minor draw back for some folks about the 8:30 service, yet the softer style delivery/ message style of 8:30 is more likable by some too.
Like the potential, though it's a lot more work for the leadership.
Apprectiate though looking outside of the box and willingness to offer different "flavors".

JTG - by softer I mean the music will be more Michael W. Smith rather than Hillsong.
If we work it out - the sermon would be the same at all three services.
The difference would be the earlier time and the softer music style.
Are there other differences people would like to see? How about you JTG? How about those who might potentially try this third service?

I guess it would offer a contep service at an earlier time slot, which may have potential draw from the community, if that's part of the vision. A possible negative factor though, that by having 3- services in may even subdivide the attendees as already is the case between the 8:45 and 10:30 services. Just sharing views. But perhaps worth a try for the summer months, does allow folks to get out early for their summer time outside activities/interests.
Depending on the music content, perhaps more songs at the end vs front loading may be a consideration as. Offer the same initimate sermon delivery as well as it is in the 8:30. May be a draw from the community having a earlier contemp ending service?
By the way - the early service is currently 8:45...
