    From JTG:
Dads should be one of two major factors in the successful development of children. The absence of such, whether physically, emotionaly, or present yet totally neglectful and/or one who is more of a negative influence tends to leave many life scars on children and often times then into the child's transition into their own adulthoods.

Unfortunately, in the past 15 or more years and growing more steadily each day, society seems to suggest that both males and Dads do NOT need to be present and or the concept of the importance of a male figure in a home and/or the need for a male to raise a child in a union. It appears the basic principle of a male and female jointly raising a child together seems to be greatly changing. Wonder why there's lots of Issues out there??

I think Dad's are very important. Men and women are fundatmentally different, one parent cannot do whatthe other can and vice versa. Having a GOOD father teaches you how to deal with men in your adult life, and without a father to balance out the parents relationship, this role model doesn't exist and people don't turn out as well-rounded citizens. At least not ver often.

I love my dad. He is a great dad. He's one of those dads that tries to fix everything with a milkshake but when it's really important, he is right there and he will listen and help. And then go for the milkshake. He makes amazing milkshakes.

My dad is a piece to my back bone. He is my support. I have learned a lot from my dad, things I should and shouldn't do. One thing I can say is that my dad wants me to be a better dad to my kids then he was to us. That will be hard to do but with his help I know I will be as good of even better father/ dad to my sons. Thanks Dad for being my dad and faher!
