Two of our women are in jail this weekend!
That's right! State Senator Janet Greenip and Anne Koether will spend the weekend in jail at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, MD.
They are part of a team - a Karios Team - from Emmaus. Emmaus is a ministry that helps people see Jesus - based on Luke 24 - the story of the two who walked to Emmaus and during that walk met Jesus. They didn't know it was Him right away, but later said; Luke 24:32 -"Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
Karios is a ministry within Emmaus and the purpose of Kairos is to bring Christ's love and forgiveness to incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them.
