The Plan for Churchwide Service - July 5-18

Here is the plan for our churchwide evangelistic outreach and service - July 5-18. It will be a great time to serve your Lord and to invite your friends and neighbors to some awesome events.

We tried to hear all joys and concerns about the plan. All of the leaders of the different events have been consulted as well as the Church Council, the pastoral staff and others.

This can be an amazing two weeks. God can do so much in us, through us, and in spite of us. How can you be a help? What can you offer to make these two weeks something powerful for Jesus?

Now is the time for all of us to pray and plan and decide where and how God will utilize us to our full potential for this very busy and energetic time in the history of Mt. Oak Church. I pray that we all will have the energy and will to be able to follow God's lead as to what He has in store for us so that we may go and bring The Word and Love of Jesus to others as He will have us and want us to do-no matter how worn out the heat or hard work or tired children or bad moods get to us or being hungry---keep Him in front and we will always show our true Christian colors of the Love Of Jesus!!! By the way - IF we cut any yards, it will only be yards where the owners need help and have not been able to keep up with their yard - and IF we do a car wash - it will be at a central location and people will come to us.

I know that some have questioned "working on Sunday" and believe me, I understand. The trouble is that some of the same people who have questioned what we have proposed for Amazing Sunday "work" the picnic every year. Can someone help me understand how working for hours on a picnic is different from serving our community?

I am really excited about Amazing Sunday and the full two weeks we have planned - I believe God will do something amazing with what we offer Him that day and both weeks... How about you?

What part will you take in offering God our best for those two weeks?
