I love so many of the old hymns. The ones that stick with us have such a perfect union of sound doctrine and melody. The ones I sing to myself most often:
How Great Thou Art
Holy, Holy, Holy
It is Well With My Soul
He Leadeth Me
Amazing Grace
I look forward to hearing what others choose!

Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling. Calling for you and for me. Though we have sinned he has mercy and pardon, calling for you and for me. Come home, come home. Ye who are weary come home.

Does anyone remember "Are ye Able?"
Are ye able, said the Master, "to be crucified with me? Yea, the sturdy dreamer answers, to the death we follow thee."
In the chorus..."remold me, make me like thee divine."
Always loved that hymn
When I was in Jr. and Sr. high youth groups, we went to a nursing home on the first Sunday of the month. Their most requested hymn, which became a favorite of mine over the years and one I enjoy playing, is "In the Garden"...
"I come to the garden alone...and He walks with me and He talks with me. And He tells me I am his own..." Another favorite is "How Great Thou Art"
I would LOVE to hear Jamie and Traci sing this a cappela either as a solo or as a duet. Another good group that we have is the male quartet we had singing while the women were at their retreat last year. I remember being totally amazed that they sang so well together but they never came back......
