    Be Like Nic!

Do you remember the commercials - Be Like Mike - dealing with the image of Michael Jordon?

How about - Be Like Nic - in relationship to Nicodemus? This week in the Daily Messages I'm dealing with Nicodemus' witness after his nighttime meeting with Jesus.

What are some ways that we can witness in our daily life? Share some of the examples that you have experienced.

    Interesting topic here.

Being musically inclined to a degree, I like to use music as a way to share my faith. I work with mostly non-believers and the ones I have the most contact with are musicians. There is a Christian guitarist named Phil Keaggy who plays as well as anyone on the planet IMO, and his varied music styles range from folk, classical, spanish, rock (ala the Beatles), pop, jazz.... I will loan out my CD's and DVD's to these guys and they see a jaw dropping guitarist whose lyrics share the Gospel presented to them at a level they can relate to. I am hoping it plants some seeds along the way.

As for my own witness.... I really REALLY try and present myself as a good (not perfect) example of how a Christian should act and SPEAK. The tongue is a wicked thing and there are times I have said things that should not come out of my mouth (or anyone elses). I have an accountability partner at work and he has been awesome at keeping me in check (and I do the same for him). I have never been one to try and shove my beliefs down someone's throat as I personally find that offensive. All I can do is try and live my witness out in front of those around me. I know that just one bad word can damage a witness, sometimes beyond repair. I really cringe when I hear things "Christians" say and see the things they do. It is no wonder the world sees the church as a joke.

Just my 4 cents worth (inflation ya know).
