    Youth Director Dione Bowlding

Today I want to start an encouragement post for Dione Bowlding, our Youth Director. Dione grew up at Mt. Oak and is nearing his under grad degree. He has been our Youth Director for several years and was on volunteer staff before that time.

I will begin by saying Dione has a real heart for the youth. He is very creative and is willing to do most anything to reach a youth for Jesus. He loves to worship God and to train others - equipping them for worship.

He is pleasant to work with and is growing in his abilities and his work ethic. I am glad to call him friend and to work with him in ministry at Mt. Oak.

How about you? What can you say as a word of encouragement for Dione?

    Well, he's alright, I guess. :o)

Dione is awesome- even though i'm younger than him and grew up as one of his students, i feel like i have seen him grow, which is funny to me. he has been there for me and helped me deal with lots of drama, and always knows how to make me laugh! he's pretty cool :o)

I love Dione Bowlding! Dione is real! What you see is what you get! He adores his Jesus and he has a genuine heart for the people around him. It is hard to offend Dione--he's bigger than that!

I love to watch him love his family! He's a sweet husband and a calm, relaxed, fun dad!

Dione is good man. I'm so grateful that he has a heart for the future generations! I'm so glad he choses to be at Mt. Oak!!!!

Dione has always been such a great example to me, first as my Youth Pastor now as a worship teammate and friend. There is such a spirit of peace about him that I am learning and praying to put on in my every day life.

Consider those that interact with him on a regular basis either very blessed or very convicted because he is a true statue of serenity and grace and it seems unworldly. I guess it is since the Holy Spirit has given it to him.

He's constant and reliable and if he messes up (as all humans do) I have no doubt in my mind that he tried everything in his power to accomplish it first off, and/or will try everything in his power to make it all right. The Savior in him shines through during his interaction with the youth, the congregation, his family, his worship, and his fun!

Who can say being a Christ Follower is boring or constraining when you're around a guy like Dione???

Thank God for him, his heart, and his family.

I love going to Mt. Oak because of folks like Dione. His heart is full and open, I love his sense of humor and he's a sincerely good person. Having a daughter soon to enter youth group I feel extremely comfortable with the leadership we have. Keep the youth rockin it for Jesus!
