    Crucial Moral Issues

    We ask what was the most crucial moral issue facing us today and here are the results of those who responded;

    42% said gay marriage
    36% said abortion
    9% said prayer in the church
    6% said an issue not listed
    3% said war
    3% said world hunger

    What do you think is the most crucial moral issue facing the church today? How about listing your top three?

    I think this is a pretty depressing list, to be honest with you.

    over 75% have responded as saying that the way that some people choose to live their lives are "crucial moral Issues", when really they are lifestyle choices and decisions that people are entitled to make, given that they are allowed to exercise their free will. I may not agree with their choices, but does that mean that their choices are moral issues simply because they don't align with my moral compass? Furrthermore, what right do I have to pass judgement on the decisions someone else makes?

    God didn't send Jesus to condemn the world, according to John 3:17. Why does it seem that the church has assumed that responsibility?

    Crucial moral issues, if you ask me, are those that are blocking Jesus's manifesto, as he stated in Luke 4:17-21: "And He opened the book, and found the place where it was written, ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are downtrodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.' And He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon Him. And He began to say to them, ‘Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.'"
