    AWESOME WORSHIP

What can I say, worship just gets better and better and better...

I personally could have stayed in worship all afternoon. The Spirit was moving and touching so many. We had two persons come forth with prophetic words and two persons came forth with words of wisdom from God's Word. We need to continue to develop an atmosphere where folks not only feel the Spirit's presence and leading but feel free to share what God shares with them.

    In the spirit of trying to improve and wanting to know what impacts you in worship; how about some open conversation around our worship service today? Give feedback concerning the following for the 10:30 worship service this morning - 9/9/07;

    1. Our Order of Worship today
    2. Communion offered every week
    3. Our music ministry this morning
    4. Our media presentation during worship and the sermon
    5. Our sharing of the Word (sermon)
    6. General comments

Please leave your name - anonymous comments will not be listed for this post. These comments will be used by a 10:30 worship team as we seek ways to improve and continue was has impacted us in worship.

Yesterday was awesome. It's great to see so many just "lost in Worship".
As for order I prefer an uninterrupted musical portion of Worship rather than stopping 2 songs in.
I love the idea of having Communion every week! Its great to be excited about Sundays again to see what God will do next. We are blessed to have a team of leaders that sense when God is moving and acts accordingly!

We used to go to the later service. We like the praise music best but cannot stand the decibels that it is played at. Maybe I have sensitive hearing. Music has gotten better the last few years.

The question I have for the worship team--Is the music team leading the congregation in worship, or putting on a performance. I'm not trying to be cruel or too critical, but if I cannot hear my wife's lovely voice, who is standing next to me, then the music is just too loud.

I suspect that many of the younger musicians in particular have at least partial hearing loss. They have tested young recruits in the military and found that many have up to 40% hearing loss in the left ear. That's because of the bass sounds reverberating off of the drivers side window. So maybe the music team turns up the volume so that they can hear and do not realize what is happening.

I want to emphasize this--If the young people are drawn in to God's church by this music, my likes and dislikes are not at all important. I do like the 8:15 am service also.

    One man's opinion.

I want to agree with one of Gary's comments. All pastors, worship leaders and worship teams have to consistently keep worship and not performance on their mind. I have reminded the two team leaders of this and they are aware and conscience of it. I do not sense a performance attitude since I have been at Mt. Oak.

I personally do not think the music is too loud. It is an opinion issue I guess. The sound board team does a good job of keeping the balance of sound and quality in my opinion.

I love this open discussion where we can all share our thoughts and ideas.

This past Sunday the music was great but it was hard to hear the voices.
